Project management?
  • Time management -
  • Asset Management -

One better than the other? Or six one half dozen the other? [Nov. 1st, 2009|08:41 pm]

I've recently begun experimenting with doing digital animation and art, and a friend was letting me try out Lightwave on his computer. I was going to purchase this software for myself, but another friend's been telling me to give Maya a try instead.

I looked them both up, and both seem pretty popular. So, which one is 'better'? Or does it really matter in the long run?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Halloween is probably my favorite time of the year. Though, I don't embrace it as much as I should. I love horror movies, and anything horror really. And Halloween has driven away from anything horror themed, it seems. People use it as an excuse to dress like an idiot. For girls to dress as skanky as possible. REally? You can dress that way any day of the week. Why on one day of the year do you show your true colors? Odds are, if you're going to dress up as a skank people already know you're a skank, so chill with the facade. I wish more people actually tried to dress up as something scary. Something spooky. The whole point of Halloween is to or WAS to scare people. Now it's just bonkers. I can't wait until I have kids. They're going to have the best costumes, and my house is going to be the best decorated. And, if you come to my house to trick or treat and your costume isn't horror themed, you are not getting SHIT. Sorry, good bye. Come back when you actually put some effort into halloween you lazy asshole. And your parents are assholes too!
Anyway, last night I went to Creamy Acres, which is this place here in N.J. that has six haunted attractions.

I mean, over all it was a good time, but it wasn't what I expected. I was underwhelmed to say the least. The girl I went with was scared by almost everything, and she inquired, "you don't get scared?" To which I replied, "nothing scares me. This is all predictable, but I'm still having a good time." It was fun watching her get scared, and playing off of that the entire night. I'm glad I finally got to go there, but I don't think I'll be going again. People need to come up with more original ideas for haunted attractions.
Today is Halloween, and I have a Halloween party to go to. Unfortunately, I'm unable to wear a proper costume. Why? Well, last week I had to get my car fixed, which costs me about $300 bucks. $300 bucks my mom had to pay, because I didn't have it at the time. I have to pay her back. On TOP of that, last Saturday, Kasie's car was towed due to our negligence, and so we split the fee, which was about $100 each. Balls. Then, on Wed one of my student loan payments was due, and so I had to pay that. And that's why I didn't have the money for my car at the time. So, right now, today, I'm very broke. So, my costume must come from found things. I have a decent idea, that'll work fro now, but I'm upset I can't go all out like I had wished. Oh well. At least I'm not dressing up as a douche. :)

Helping Jess study for her test that's on Monday, tomorrow. Hopefully we can get a lot of it done. She's not doing too well this year, and she knows why. I wish she'd do something about it, but she's young and having fun. Which, I can understand, but I still did well in school when I was her age. And I actually lived at school, so I had a lot more going on everyday all of the time. It's all about priorities. I would do all of my work right away, and then go out and party and have fun. She does the opposite, and then wonders why she's not doing well? Work first, fun later. That's all. Seriously, I'd do my h/w t he day I got it, and write my papers almost right away. This also helps cause you can go back and review your shit. No, she doesn't' think like this, but I'm trying to change that. She admits that when we were together, she did a lot better in school. She admits a lot, but does nothing about it. Whatever. I have a feeling..

And every time I see you
I still hear trumpets
